Three Positions that seem interesting

Google Doc: Three Positions that seem interesting to me and why 1. Accounting supervisor for the Govt. of Philadelphia seems interesting to me for a few reasons. To start, I am an accounting major here at PSU, so this is a perfect fit. Also, I love working with people internally and externally. Being a supervisor, allows me to work and interact with many internal people as well as external. This seems like it could potentially be an ideal job. 2. An Accounts receivable representative for Jefferson Hospital seems like an interesting but difficult job. It again works with money and people, which is my cup of tea. Dealing with insurance companies will be a challenge, but one I'd be willing to take on. It can be such a rewarding job working with a hospital. 3. Being an Inventor Flow and Sales facilitator for The Philadelphia Art Museum is another position that is appealing to me. This job tracks inventory in order to maximize sales and profits. That directly applies to people ...

Annotating

Annotating is a way for the reader to better internalize the material at hand. It allows people to enter the head of the writer with ease and decode what is their message and why did they write this. I often annotate on excerpts  that I either agree with or disagree with heavily. This allows me to further validate my thoughts or possibly rethink them. I try to put myself in the writer's point of view and see where he/she is coming from. Often people annotate important or interesting pieces from the text. If a message or idea is brought up multiple times, I will annotate it for its importance to the author. Clearly they are bringing this thing up again and again for a reason they want to get across. Annotating is tool readers can utilize to better condense and understand the writing that is in front of them.

About Me

About Me: My name is Jason Katz and I am a senior at Penn State. I recently changed majors from IST to accounting. I've always been great with numbers and math has been my favorite subject my whole life. Also in recent years, I have come to the conclusion that I love working and interacting with people. There is so much value in connecting and working with other people from varying backgrounds. I have one older brother who also went to PSU and graduated a little over a year ago. He was a marketing major and now works in the marketing and promotions department for a casino in Atlantic City. I love football, the beach and spending quality time with friends and family.
